Community Health & Nutrition

The Foundation aims to strengthen the Primary Health Care system in Calatagan, Batangas. This includes programs that:

 

  1. Encourage the community members to develop a habit of taking personal responsibility for their health by having regular check-ups in the barangay center.

  2. Strengthen health education at the household level and bring programs of the MHO and DOH to the community.

  3. Serve as a gatekeeper to which a patient is directed towards higher health care, whether secondary or tertiary.

These diagnostic procedures are important in identifying early signs of breast abnormalities, which can help beneficiaries become more aware of their health condition and encourage them to seek timely medical care if needed.

BHW Meeting February Conference

The meeting strengthened coordination between EZF and the Barangay Health Workers and reinforced their shared commitment to promoting women’s health, early detection of breast conditions, and community-based health education in Calatagan.
