Breast Care Program: Patient Assistance for Mammogram and Breast Ultrasound
On July 18, 2026, the E. Zobel Foundation, Inc. (EZF), through its Breast Care Program – Patient Assistance Initiative, successfully assisted beneficiaries in accessing breast diagnostic services at St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center (Sto. Tomas, Batangas). This activity was conducted as part of the foundation's ongoing commitment to promoting preventive healthcare and supporting individuals who require breast screening but face financial constraints.
A total of eight (8) beneficiaries received assistance during the activity. Among them, three (3) beneficiaries underwent breast ultrasound examinations, while five (5) beneficiaries received mammography services. These diagnostic procedures are essential in the early detection and evaluation of breast abnormalities, allowing patients to receive timely medical advice, treatment, and appropriate follow-up care.
The implementation of the activity was made possible through the continued financial support of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), which subsidized the screening procedures. The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Calatagan also played a vital role by providing transportation assistance, ensuring that all beneficiaries were safely transported to and from the medical facility.
This collaborative effort highlights the strong partnership among EZF, PCSO, and the LGU of Calatagan in making essential healthcare services more accessible to underserved members of the community. Through the Breast Care Program, the foundation continues to advocate for early detection, increase awareness on breast health, and improve the overall well-being of its beneficiaries through quality and accessible medical assistance.
