DLSZ Capstone Projects Turn Over at EZFI

Calatagan, Batangas | July 6, 2024 - De La Salle Santiago Zobel Vermosa Campus representatives headed by Mr. Benjamin Sazon, turned over various capstone projects of their Senior High School students at E. Zobel Foundation, Inc.

Held in Sitio Calambuyan where the Samahan ang Adhikain ay Pangalagaan sa Sta. Ana ang Pangisdaan is located and one of the communities where the Foundation serve, the ceremony started with the introduction of the representatives from De La Salle Santiago Zobel, and then followed by a quick interview to the community members, and lastly, the turn over proper. The following are the capsonte projects that have been turned over:

- Portable Water Filter
- Comparative Analysis of Biodiesel from Algae (Scenedesmus Quadricaula) Acquired from Laguna de Bay as Sustainable Alternative to B2 Conventional Diesel (Research Paper)
- Tensile Strength and Weight Characteristics of 3D Printed Textiles Using Polypropylene Bottle Caps for Sustainable Textile Manufacturing (Research Paper)
- Producing Paperboard Using Recycled Paper Pulp and Musa Acuminata x Balbisiana and Cocos Nucifera L. Fibers (Research Paper)

Given the geographical location of the community of Sitio Calambuyan, DLSZ turned over the solar-based technology that is very beneficial for the fisherfolks and community members. Additionally, the community members were able to receive a drinking technology that fisherfolks can also use when fishing.

Furthermore, DLSZ representatives visited the SIGLA Complementary Food Production Facility in Brgy. Real, Calatagan, Batangas. They also did interviews as to the processes of the production.
