SCHOLARS' DEVELOPMENT SESSION: GOOD STUDY HABITS

Last November 18, 2023, the E. Zobel Foundation Inc. conducted a Scholarship Development Session with the title of Good Study Habits for Mercedes Zobel and Tom Layng High School Scholars at ENZOTECH. 78 scholars participated in the said activity. The objective is to help them acquire new study techniques to enhance their study habits.

The first topic being discussed was the time audit, the Program Officer described the use and its importance. After that, they did their own time audit to evaluate their daily activities and assess their study habits as a student. According to them, most of their time was consumed in using social media platforms, online games, watching television, and hanging out with their friends. They realized it is wiser to spend time studying rather than doing other stuff. They learned how to use their time properly and prioritize the importance of having good study habits.

In continuation of the scholars' development session Mr. Paulino Buenconsejo, Executive Director of E. Zobel Foundation discussed the next activity. He explained the Feynman Technique and Practical Test Methods to the scholars. He grouped them into 10 to practice this kind of technique so that they could easily understand it. The scholars tried their best to do it and they applied it within the group. It is merely observable from the activity that they enjoyed and had fun because they discovered something new that can help to improve their study habits. At the end of the activity, a message of challenge was given to the scholars so that they would apply what they learned because it would develop their study habits.
