On June 9, 2025, the E. Zobel Foundation Inc. successfully held a General Assembly for scholars under the Mercedes Zobel Educational Assistance Program (MZEAP) and Tom Layng Educational Assistance Program (TLEAP) held at the ENZOTECH Function Hall. The event was attended by approximately 70 scholars (MZEAP) and 29 scholars (TLEAP), together with their parents or guardians .

The program kicked-off with an in-depth discussion on the program’s policies and guidelines. The topics covered included the following:
- Procedures for the release of the educational assistance
- Breakdown and scope of financial assistance
- New and updated program policies
- Grounds for possible termination from the program

Scholars and parents actively listened and participated in the discussion. The staff also took the time to address concerns, clarify doubts, and respond to suggestions raised during the open forum.

A highlight of the program was the sharing of story of Benedick Aleroza, a scholar who recently graduated Cum Laude for the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in Immaculate Conception College Balayan. His inspirational meesage and success on studies served as motivation for the current scholars to strive harder in their academic journeys.

In the final part of the program, the Foundation distributed school bags, uniforms, school supply vouchers, and shoe allowances to the scholars. In addition, cash incentives were awarded to students who exhibited outstanding academic performance, in recognition of their dedication and excellence in their studies.

Overall, the assembly was a successful and meaningful event, fostering stronger connections between the scholars, their families, and the foundation. It also reaffirmed the E. Zobel Foundation’s commitment to supporting youth in achieving their dreams through education and holistic development.
