The activity aimed to support the implementation of the Grade 12 Capstone Projects, which transformed students’ research into practical, community-based initiatives.

The program began with an introduction that welcomed the participants and gave a brief overview of the activity. This was followed by the presentation of capstone projects by the Grade 12 students. They presented their research-based initiatives that respond to the needs of the community. The presentations highlighted practical and innovative solutions that can help improve the well-being of local residents.

As part of the implementation, several project outputs and equipment were also formally introduced and turned over to the E. Zobel Foundation, Inc.. The turned-over items included:

WasteNado – a capacity-building initiative that involves assisting our partner communities by focusing on teaching them how to design, build, and maintain their own WasteNado-inspired automated waste collectors using recycled and locally available materials that are tailored to benefit the individual needs of each community.

Shrilunggay Mix – A nutrient-rich food additive made from shrimp exoskeleton and Moringa oleifera. It is designed as a sustainable supplement that can be sprinkled on rice to enhance nutritional value.

Seaweed-Malunggay Extract – A natural fertilizer made from seaweed and malunggay extract that helps to improve stress tolerance in hydroponically grown tomatoes, helping increase plant resilience and productivity.

Bio-Briquettes – Produced from coconut shells, these briquettes serve as an eco-friendly and sustainable alternative to traditional fuel sources.

Whiteleg Shrimp Feed Supplement - A feed supplement made with phosphate and gelatin formulated to improve the growth performance of whiteleg shrimp.

Tides and Tales: Voices from the Shore - A seminar conducted by Sir Marvin Lumayor focused on a documentary project about the experiences of small-scale fishermen in Calatagan, Batangas. The discussion highlighted their daily challenges and livelihoods, raised awareness among students and participants, and informed the fishermen about their rights and responsibilities.

Overall, the Grade 12 Capstone Community Project Implementation served as a meaningful platform for experiential learning, community engagement, and collaboration. It also strengthened the commitment of De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, Local Government Unit of Calatagan, and the E.
