Patient Assistance for Mammogram and Breast Ultrasound
On February 6, 2026, the E. Zobel Foundation, Inc., through its Breast Care Program, successfully conducted a Patient Assistance Initiative for mammogram and breast ultrasound services at St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center. The activity was made possible through funding support from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), with additional assistance from the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Calatagan, which provided transportation for the beneficiaries.
The initiative aimed to promote women’s health and strengthen early detection efforts for breast diseases by providing access to essential diagnostic services for individuals with limited financial capacity. Early screening through mammogram and breast ultrasound is vital in identifying breast conditions at an early stage, allowing timely medical intervention and appropriate treatment.
A total of eight (8) patients benefited from the activity. Four (4) underwent breast ultrasound procedures, while four (4) received mammogram examinations. The beneficiaries were carefully selected and assessed based on medical recommendations and financial need to ensure that assistance was extended to those who required it most.
The LGU of Calatagan played a significant role in the smooth implementation of the activity by providing a transportation vehicle, ensuring the safe and convenient travel of the beneficiaries to and from the medical facility.
The activity was efficiently carried out in coordination with the medical professionals of St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center, who provided proper guidance and quality care to all patients throughout the procedures.
Through this collaborative effort among E. Zobel Foundation, Inc., PCSO, and the LGU of Calatagan, the Foundation continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving access to healthcare services and promoting early detection of breast diseases within the community.
