MANGROVE FOREST CONSERVATION

EZF has been partnering with various organizations from the academe, the private sector, the LGU, and the community to help protect the mangrove coastline of Calatagan, Batangas. Join us as we continue to preserve, conserve and grow this haven of biodiversity for future generations to benefit from.

The Foundation conducted mangrove planting with De La Salle Santiago Zobel Social Action Team on August 6, 2022 at Ang Pulo, Bgy. Quilitisan, Calatagan, Batangas. There was a total of 34 participants from EZF Staff, DLSZ Social Action and DLSZ Alumni. Participants were able to plant at least 500 propagules.

EZF's past Executive Director, Roderick De Castro shared his experience in working with the community and encouraged everyone to fulfill our role as stewards of nature. EZF Staff continued its coordination with the Ang Pulo MPA, in relation to mangrove protection and other technical assistance that may be provided.
