Empowering Breast Health and Early Detection

On September 19, 2026, the E. Zobel Foundation, Inc. (EZF), through its Breast Care Program – Patient Assistance Initiative, facilitated the provision of breast diagnostic assistance to beneficiaries at St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center in Sto. Tomas, Batangas. The activity aimed to support individuals in accessing essential breast health services and promote the importance of early detection and preventive healthcare.

The activity assisted a total of ten (10) beneficiaries, comprising five (5) individuals who underwent breast ultrasound examinations and five (5) who received mammography services. These diagnostic procedures are essential in assessing breast abnormalities and supporting timely medical evaluation, follow-up consultations, and appropriate healthcare interventions.

The implementation of the activity was made possible through the financial assistance extended by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), which covered the beneficiaries’ diagnostic procedures. EZF also extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Barangay Chairman of Barangay 4, Calatagan,Batangas, for generously lending the barangay vehicle to ensure the safe and convenient transportation of beneficiaries to and from the medical facility.

The collaboration among EZF, PCSO, Barangay Poblacion 4, and the Local Government Unit of Calatagan helped address the financial and transportation challenges encountered by beneficiaries in accessing breast diagnostic services. This partnership contributed to the continued promotion of accessible healthcare and breast health awareness within the community.

Through the Breast Care Program, EZF remains committed to supporting underserved individuals by facilitating access to diagnostic services, encouraging early detection, and strengthening community-based healthcare initiatives that contribute to improved health and well-being.
